Alan Fraser 1930 -2010. The man responsible for first putting the Sunbeam Tiger on the UK racing map passed away peacefully aged 80 at his Mountains Sanctury home in Angus, Scotland on 27th October 2010.
The team Fraser formed in the early '60's with factory backing took on the Mini Cooper with the Rootes Group Hillman Imp with considerable success before in '65 he also began racing the Tiger as a 'privateer' with the consistently excellent Bernard Unett and Ray Calcutt. Unett just missed out winning the 1966 Autosport Championship before Fraser took the team to Tenerife in 1967.
