Pentastar

Post by gvickery » Tue May 17, 2011 2:48 pm

A couple of questions have popped up elsewhere about which Tigers had a Chrysler Pentastar fitted.
Most of the answers can be found here:http://www.sunbeamtiger.co.uk/catswhiskers/CW81.pdf

As the article says we in STOC thought the Chrysler 'birth mark' was only stuck on "North American Specification Tigers" (which I have presumed included Canada) but there is firm evidence that some late British MKKII's carried them as well.

Fixing up a 'Poll of members' is beyond me but if anyone has an HRO / RRO / LRO sporting a Pentastar, please let us know or drop me an email.

Jery,

To clarify I think graham is looking for non-USA and Canadian Tigers as a sample. Is your can an LRXFE VIN, if so they are generally accepeted to have the logo.

I always thought it was a little unusual that only one was fitted to the car. Not sure of their thought process there. Our 66 Tiger was originally left hand drive (now right hand) and it is located on the driver's side of the car.
