The Monster Enters The Revival

Another Great First for an Historic Sunbeam Tiger.

The ex-Team Fraser 'Monster' Tiger is invited to run in the the 2012 Goodwood Revival, Fordwater Trophy race.

The Monster has spent almost 30 years in the U.S.A. where it received a fastidious restoration a few years back and has been competing in West Coast race meetings since then.
It was THE most successful Tiger in period competition in Europe. Driven by Bernard Unett within Alan Fraser's private Tiger racing team the team missed winning the 1966 Autosport GT Championship by the slenderest of margins.
Autosport GT Championship 1966 (top three)
1) John Miles Lotus Elan 42pts
2) Bernard Unett Sunbeam Tiger 36pts
3) David Piper Ferrari 250LM 18pts

In 1967 Fraser took his Team to Tenerife where the Monster was raced to good effect by Peter Harper. It was returned to England in 1983.

The driver of the Monster in the Fordwater Trophy will be the American Tom Dyer. More here http://www.tomdyer.com/

Not foregtting that the No8 Le Mans Tiger will be running in th RAC 'TT' 1 hour race which it was driven so well in last year!!
