I had seen a grille badge listed on eBay (listing # 190094639896) and it indicates that it is an old Sunbeam Owners Club Grille Badge. Does anyone know of the possible history of this badge?
Thanks

As a member from the start of the club, these badges were available thro the club. That was many moons ago. I left 20 years ago and have since rejoined, but sadly cannot find mine.

OK, Thanks. I was wondering how old it was and whether it was worth it.

Mike
This emblem was originated by John Panks the boss of Rootes Motors Inc, New York ahead of the Tiger launch. He was responsible among other things for 'The Sunbeam' a bi-monthly magazine produced during the 60's by Rootes Inc for the 'Sunbeam Owners Club, Inc' (National Headquarters, 505 Park Avenue, N.Y,22, N.Y.). The emblem was the club logo. Whilst clearly derived from the 'Talbot dog' I don't know how or when it was designed. Norman Miller does though have more details at:

Thanks for the update. Seems that this might be quite a collector's item. Watch the price go up as the auction goes on.
