Its a long shot but if anyone lives near stansted and can loan me a fan belt at junction 8 I'd be very grateful. please call me on 07826 55 22 66.

That's j8 m11. Otherwise please post if you know a common part number availble from e.g. Halfords that would fit. I'm booked on a rolling road tomorrow afternoon and a working water pump is somewhat of a prerequisit!

never mind, i called a tow truck.
would greatly appreciate a size for the fan belt though. or a common car which has a similar size.

I had a stock one on ebay a while back for £0.99 as I converted to alternator. No one bought it! still have it. Not near Stanstead though.

halfords part HB1250C fits my alternator just fine. (its 1250mm long).
it costs 5 pounds 49.
now i just need to find another one as they only had one in stock.

Any agricultural dealer will supply a fan belt of any size. take your old one in and they will match it.
