We haven't taken a bunch of Tigers to the Ace Cafe for some time. Drop me a line if interested in a mid week run in March. Last time out pics:

Nice line up!

Graham,
Nice selection of cars there, notice your car is next to another orchid green MKII, pitty you didnt get them all together. I remember in S&CC maybe 3 years back there was a picture of all the Tigers at the ACE., nice little bit of PR for the club.
I have heard great things about the ACE classic nights, great people great cars.. though i have heard you dont go for the food.

not sure, might be difficult to get a "prime" spot if we are competing with so many other classics - but am sure the atmosphere of the evening would be worth it. Anybody been to a classic evening meet

or would the recommendation be a Tiger only evening

Looking at the photo in the OP, it does look like there were quite a few disapointed owner who ended up parking across the road.
That may ofcourse have something to do with the green stretch Tigers taking up half of the car park lol.
It's a shame that The Ace Cafe is so far away but I imagine that The Not Bad Cafe in Coventry would have the same appeal.

Most nights are all booked through out the year by now with a theme night, I would doubt if we could ask for a Tiger night only, the Ace cafe is an arrive early if you want a prime location type of place. If you go to their web site you can see all the nights that they have cars booked for.

Good idea Graham - are we going to avoid the Classic Cars Magazine Tuesday meet on 8th March, or conversely steal their show?
Count me in.

As Jayandshel and other posters have said March 8th is a Classic Car Night with Lotus 7 + Midget & Sprite Club 'topping the bill'. So best we don't make a STOC 'club visit' .
Pending sorting a better evening, howz about the 'Brooklands Breakfast meeting' on Sunday March 20th instead? This is a new event for 2011, admittedly copyiing the Goodwood Breakie meet, but is a more convenient venue for members 'darn sarf'. Event info:
http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.p ... breakfast/
It ain't free at £13 a pop but you get a full english and entrance to all museum sites.
See you there?
