Donington Historic Festival 2011

Post by gvickery » Thu Mar 10, 2011 11:58 am

I've been asked to let the membership know about this new event at Donington Park over the weekend of 30th April - 1st May
http://www.donington-park.co.uk/pages/n ... -best.html

STOC is a 'registered club' so STOC members can park in the clubs' parking area and get discounted tickets. The code is STOCDHF11, and it gives entry to two people for the whole weekend (April 30th/May 1st) for just £30 (i.e. £15 each), as opposed to the on-the-gate entry price of £22 per person per day (£36 for the weekend). Tickets can be booked through www.doningtonhistoric.com or by calling the 24-hour ticket hotline 0844 873 7355.
We should get a dedicated STOC display area if 10+ of us book in over the next few days. More info from Peter Shinton psajshinton@msn.com

Thanks for the details Graham.

This is shaping to be a great meet in the Midlands, if we can get interest for a STOC area that would be great but I do understand that we will need to commit a minimum of 10 cars on each day over the weekend, a difficult one when we are a "smaller" classic car club compared to other more popular marques.

Either way, I'll be there - and I believe even without a dedicated STOC parking area, for those classic car owners pre-booking tickets using the discount code will be able to park their classics in a seperate "classic car" designated area away from the modern "tin boxes"

Would be good to support the new inaugural event, anybody else fancy it :?:

Any takers?, no, I didn't think so.
