When I purchased my Tiger last year it came with the door windows uninstalled as it had been previously used for sprint trials.

I'm now in the process of refitting the door regulators and glass but am having difficulty getting them back together. I can't ease the lower glass rail on to the regulator cam arm so can someone please advise me on the correct approach?

Sounds like you have a series 5 Alpine or Tiger 1a window channels and series 4 Alpine or Tiger 1 window mechanisms. When they changed the position of the winder handle they also changed the profile of the channels and made the roller smaller.
