Boot internal floor dzus fixings

Hi, having got a bit fed up with the boot floor/battery cover flapping about I turn my attention to the two dzus fixings which hold it down. Now, I might be being thick but it would appear that a simple piece of wire rather than a normal spiral shaped dzus clip holds the fixing in place. But I cant see how that wire would be fixed as pics on t'internet don't show anything of help. Will I have to fixed a normal dzus clip with self tappers or is there something really obvious that I am missing?
