front side light unit

I seem to have regular earthing problems with my O/S sidelight unit. Is there a better way of earthing this unit instead of relying on the fixing screws to do it?
I've replaced the bulb holder with one I bought on Ebay. Drill out the original and replace with the new unit and Araldite in place. Works a treat.
For added earthing run a wire from the sidelight unit to the nut securing the lower bonnet bumper.
