Has anyone got a front disc brake dust shield that I can borrow or buy?
I need at least one to test that a 4 pot calliper I'm trying for size will fit with the dust shield.
Thanks
Lou.

Dust shield restricts the airflow and for the disc to cool down, which will ultimately may warp the disc. I wouldn't fit one.

Fully understand Tony, that's why mine were removed and discarded!
I just need to see if the calliper will fit with a dust shield , should someone want to retain them with these callipers.
If they fit then we all will have the choice of another aluminium 4 pot calliper we can use on our Tigers.

Probably wouldn't take much to snip off enough from the shield to make a caliper work. I've actually done that on my modern BMW fitting bigger brakes/discs and had to modify the dust shield.
Talking of your Tiger shield's being discarded. I wonder where mine have gone......Sure I had them before they went into the workshop

..interesting. I was told from a Tiger specialist of 'old' that rather than 4 pot Girling calipers from an Austin Princess (a common upgrade back in the 80's) that the smaller 4 pot Girling calipers from an MG Metro Turbo will work just as well and allows Tiger folk to keep 13 inch alloys if they wish.
Perhaps that setup, might also allow you use to use stock brake dust shields.
Thought I would pass it on

When I fitted my 4 pot calipers and vented discs I kept the dust shields, helps to protect the ball joints from getting hot. I had to cut them to fit round the calipers but only took a couple of minutes, also cut the front of teh shield back to allow air in.

Are the wheel PCDs the same then?
