Classic Car Insurance

Post by Tomaselli » Tue Aug 07, 2012 5:39 pm

Any recommendations for insurance in the UK. My annual renewal arrived from Footman James and am not bending over for them to shaft me with a 25% increase in the premium over the last year!!

Also, what's the threshold for getting proof and verifying the market valuation with the insurers, I have it in mind that it's £30k.

........I'll ring around and see what the form is, but any feedback on experience and what I should look for in the small print would be good.

I know Footman James throws in European cover which is handy

Cheers.

Glad I asked now, I thought my premium approaching £500 was a bit steep. Perhaps to be expected when they are actively 'driven' and 'used'

I'll be trying out all recommendations, and will report back with my findings prior to the August policy expiry.
