Thank you for your comments
on the fabulous Sunbeam Tiger!

I owned a 65 Tiger when I was in high school in 1975. It was sold so that I
could attend college. I have had a life long "addiction" ever since.
The day is coming!

Back in March I bought a 1965 Tiger. I have been wanting one for 31 and I'm
having a blast driving my Tiger. Yesterday My wife and I took a small trip in
the Tiger. We drove a total of 185 miles. After about 100 miles we stopped for
dinner. When we got back in the Tiger I started it but I had no Tach, fuel gauge,
water temp. gauge, wipers, or turn signals. When we started out on the trip
I needed gas. I new that I had about 2 or 3 gallons in the tank but the gauge
read empty. When I filled up it read full. I assumed I was wrong about how much
gas I had before the fill up. But looking back I guess it was the start of my
problem. Can you give me any advice on where to start looking for the problem.

Great Web Site. Alpine Series 2 owner - 1962. Would love to own a Tiger! Have
considered converting the alpine to a Tiger but 4AGE Toyota/Supra 5 speed looks
the go. I am at present the parts co-ordinator for Sunbeam Owners Club of New
Zealand. I am always on the lookout for new sources of supply of both NOS and
remanufactured parts for Rapiers, Sceptres, Tigers, Alpines and Talbots. We
manufacture "Sunbeam" letter sets for Tiger, Alpine and the skinny
letter sets for the Series Rapiers for export. Long live Sunbeams.

I live in England and while recently surfing the net, I came across you STOC
site, now normally because I dont technically own a Sunbeam Tiger I would have
just shot straight on by, But I have in my possesion a Scalextric C83 Sunbeam
Tiger (Yellow) that's a slot car to you guys. Anyway the reason that I am emailing
you, is that I am selling it, and that is how I happened on your site. You know
you type in Sunbeam Tiger, and you get a list of sites, most of them have nothing
to do with the cars though!! But I thought I would send this email as you guys
like the car so much I bet you don't get offered the slot car version a lot!!
I am also trying the Scalextric (Slot car) Sites, but as it is a rare car I
thought I would post this to you as you must love the car as that is why there
is a club!!. Let me know if you are interested, I know it will have a good home
anyway with Scalextric, but you never know.

I must say this is one of the best Tiger sites I have seen for some time. Lots

world are up to. As a menber of the Sunbeam Car Club for some 25 years I owned
a Tiger (B9473038) back in the early 80's. I believe there is also another Tiger
in the UK with the same serial number. Would love to own another tiger one day.

What a discovery! I took an AF2 B9203826 9274 KV Rootes prototype to South Africa
in 1967 when I emigrated there, I sold it in 1968 (marriage! - dont we ever
learn, and get our priorities right). It would be great to know if it still
exists, of course AF2 was a lhd Series 3 Alpine converted to a Tiger by the
factory. When I bought it I built it into a rhd S4 Alpine body shell using all
the original Af2 components that I could use. Anyway would be great to hear
if it is still in the land of the living.

I live in South Afica and we have a active Sunbeam club. I have a 1966 Mk1 Tiger
and a 1966 Alpine Series 5 GT. Both cars are 100% original. Spares are sometimes
a problem due to us being so far from Europe and the States. My Tiger was the
last one build in South Africa and currently has 76 000 miles on the clock.
It is 100% original and i have only replaced the battery, exhaust and had the
radiator redone. Congratulations on your Website which i enjoy very much. I

Hi, Nice website. I have owned a 64 Sunbeam Tiger since 1987 and took 2 years
to restore it. Originally Black and no. B947111LRXFE with a 260 V8. It is now
painted Porsche Guards Red with only 41,000 original miles. It was in storage
for the last 2 years except for an occasional local cruise night while I was
in the process of restoring a 65 289 4V Mustang 2+2. I didn't realize how much
fun I was missing so now the Tigers on the prowl and the Mustangs in storage.

I owned mark 1 Tiger DCP785D for around 3 years starting on the fatefull day
of 26th April 1986 when I was 18. It was a very sound car in midnight blue,
and when it left me was on minilite copies, had a hard top, engine bay paint,
re-trim and was loved. Unfortunately I was skint!! If the current owner is a
memeber of STOC perhaps I could chat about its history as I also know its previous
owner a David Walker from Batley West Yorkshire. I also have plenty of pics
from the cars tme with me. Regards Darren Shepherd

I've owned three tigers, and the one I have now has been with me for twenty two
years and is still road worthy, but has not been used for some years, having built
a Cobra replica a few years ago I use that instead. The Tiger has the shelby
289 cu in from a Mustang GT 350 which I bought already fitted and goes very
well. Regards, Paul Aldridge

Malcolm. I hold my hands up on your points about the webmaster - its down to
me.I could make excuses but won't. I have just posted details about "TIGERS
2000" at Blenheim Palace (5/6th August)and will be working over the site
in the next couple of weeks. Its OK with me to take a pop at the webmaster since
it shows our readership is growing and fresh ideas are very welcome.ANY OTHER
VIEWS OUT THERE? Graham.

I know ive been away from the club for a long time but why are the reply and
response times to the site so far apart, why is the site not updated and owners
talk to each other more frequently? If im out of order ! sorry

Had a tiger 20 years ago. fun car. thinking about getting one. does not have
to be original.probably
prefer one that was not. motor update would be good, want a fast one.
