hardtops

hi all became tiger owner in sept but car had no hardtop .would you guys recommend restoring one from say ebay or continue my search for a good one?could anyone suggest what reasonable cost for either case.thanks.

Maybe you saw the one just sold on eBay for £68. The vendor's description was questionable (best seen in the UK) but a steal providing all the parts claimed to be present were with it; bits of the stainless trim can cost more.
All depends on how much work you can do, what you have to start with and what parts are needed to complete the job. Keep in mind the factory supplied HT's in black paint when sold as an accessory and in matching paint code when sold with the car.

I would look for a good complete steel example and expect to pay from £650.

the hardtop on ebay was mine and it was a good 1 .it had all the bits ,i described it as the best uk 1 i have ever seen,i wish i dismantled it as i would have got 150 for it in bits ,it needed 2 small corner repairs,
