Now for the truth, I had a freind of mine make up a traction bar that copy's the Cal-Trac setup
I hear nothing but praise about the Cal-Trac set up for leaf spring cars for drag racing. I even read about someone who left them on, on a circut track and didn't think they were detrimental to the handling.
Thanks for the reply.

Mal,
The Cal tracs are in theory a much better option than the traction masters (bolt or weld on) and the slapper bars. The only issue i have heard is that while a few circuit guys run them to have a set of proper cal tracs they probably sit a little low for the street.
I think one of the best options i have seen to cure the tiger axel tramp issue is the dan walters torque arm. It elimnates the axel/spring wind up but also has the added advantage of stopping the front from lifting under hard acceleration, it actually pushes it down as the car moves off.

Michael that would be great if you would post up the pics, I have no secerts and like to share my ideas to the Sunbeam world.
As far as wheel hop I don't get any with my setup. Also the car only does a small wheel stand off the line

Michael. You sent me the photo's and info on the Dan Walters torque arm. I have given them to my brother who is in engineering. Once the car is coming back together we will look at making one up. It is all hidden nicely away as well which is
Nice to see the pic's of Jerrys turbo set up. Is that a beer fridge in the boot. I may be hallucinating, it's 34degC and about 80% humidity here today

Hi Jerry,
Very nice job and well done for making it all fit

. One question though, with that setup can you hear your radio or is it there for looks?
Regards, Robin.

Your far from dumb... it just means some of us are spending too much time on computer's and not enough time with the Tiger's.

Ah yes the good old 80's... I wish my cassette player didn't chew up the tapes.

This is the reason I don't mind sharing stuff that I have done outside of the box with my tiger, I know it makes the "purist cringe"
We enjoy the car now then we have for years.
