Front coil springs

Post by Twin Turbo Tiger » Mon Apr 11, 2011 2:22 am

I just broke a front coil spring on the right side. :(
It is a autocross type spring that I put in about 35 yrs ago. :)
What is the diference between a Tiger and Alpine coil spring?

Stock alpine springs are not as stiff as tiger ones, tiger ones are stiffer to account for the extra weight of the motor. (i posted this on your other thread too) IIRC though you are runnign an alloy block? If so.. the weight difference may not be much, infact the alpine motor may even be heavier than yours.. so the S3 springs might be the bet.. they are the lowest of the alpine setups. VB sell them quite cheap, a comon upgrade for alpine owners wanting a slightly lower stance.
