UK Tiger for sale on ebay
I think this is a good example poor/careless listing
To be honest the indivdual who own's this car is not stuck for the money. What he lacks is the time to restore the car, he is niether fussed or unfussed wheather it sells or not and has been monitoting these postings with some degree of disbelief.michael-king wrote:I think this is a good example poor/careless listing.
The car is..... what it is. A Genuine HRO MK1 Tiger. Period.
Regardless of what we all think none of us have the right to demand MORE pictures, INFO and Paperwork unless we are in the market to buy the car. Other than that we are all watchers.
To imply that this rusted old car could possibly be an ALGER....is plain silly, if that was the case i'll personally buy up every old rotten Alpine and have a go at that game myself.
So please there really is no need to send anymore private messeges from the colonies regarding this car. Is there?
I do have a soft spot and a vested intrest as i wasn't 100% sure to let her go when i did, but i made the choice to sacrifice one Tiger to bankroll the other, so my hope is all the best to the car and hopefully this time she will find the right owner who like us all will try and find the time to restore her and see her back on the road whether in Forest Green or not

I think the comments on here as a whole were meant to be constructive.
It wasn't too long ago that a Tiger was sold for between £3k and £6k under current market value and my concern was not to see the same thing happen again and this was likely to be the sentiments of others.
As far as pms are concerned, if this includes pms on E-bay then that is pointed at me. Lesson learned.

Red race tiger,
At no point have i implied this car is an alger, i simply stated that it was a MKI not MKIA and pointed out the listing lacks information and images.
I have only seen one post in this thread that might have questioned its authenticity and nobody ran with that.
I posted the car to the list as it was for sale on ebay Uk and i thought i would bring it to attention of other forum visitors. My assertion that the listing was lacking in information is my opinion, you apparently disagree, others do not. The listing is a public listing on an international website.
As a side note i have bought several tigers on the other side of the world, so i do have experience of buying cars without seeing them in person and decent photos and info are an important part of that process.

UK eBay Tiger for Sale
For the avoidance of doubt among club members the Tiger in this eBay listing is B9473405 HRO FE. As 'red race tiger' mentioned - a barn find in recent years.
