Can Someone Tell Me
What kind of air cleaner housing this is.
I don't intend to bid on it but I wondered why the price had gone so high.

Hi Martin,
These are very hard to find, rare and even though they are not an LAT option, they seem to go for very high prices. There was one on US Ebay a little while ago and I think it went for around the US$1000 mark. Don't quote me on this but I think someone in Canada or the US had some cast to match the aluminium 'Tiger' rocker covers that are still available.
Regards, Robin.

Agree with that Martin, think I'll go and buy Brian's stock (assuming he has any left) and sell them on for a tidy profit.martin172 wrote:looked like an old version of what Brian sells.
Off topic, but prices of late on fleaBay have been getting silly, this last week alone 1) MK2 pair of chrome headlamps £386, 2) NOS indicator body £175 (one only) and finally, 3) pair of door barrel locks with genuine Rootes keys £275
Time to start breaking Tigers again......

The interesting thing about the one on ebay is that its just an unfinished casting.
It has not been drilled for the mounting hole, has not have the fitments for the hoses drilled, or attachments installed. So whoever wins will have to do a fair bit of work to finsh it off. I would assuem you would then paint it and polish raised areas.. so selling price plus some work.

Evil bay prices do defy logic on a regular basis.Tomaselli wrote:Agree with that Martin, think I'll go and buy Brian's stock (assuming he has any left) and sell them on for a tidy profit.martin172 wrote:looked like an old version of what Brian sells.

Rare seems to be a word that gets people excited.
Do you have a link to the locks and key auction as I didn't see that one.
