Ebay mk1a Tiger

Post by Ash » Thu Sep 13, 2012 10:57 am

Has anyone had a look at this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1967-Sunbeam- ... v4exp=true
Complete with all the correct bits and original chassis plate/rivets but looks like the sills and wing bottoms have been smoothed over with filler?

I think this car was recently for sale at a New York dealers for $6950!

This car has been in storage for many years in the US and has only recently come over to the UK so is not completely rusty, it is a great candidate for restoration and comes with various spares with the car in the boot.

Just a little bit rusty then...

I can confirm that the tyres, glass and interior are rust- free but not sure about the rest

Looks like a good candidate but is that price realistic? Tigermanny had something similar for considerably less and some Tigers in way better condition have sold recentley for just a couple of grand more.

Maybe Im undervalueing or are prices going up fast?

If this is the car I think it is the dealer has at least a £5k profit margin. Take that off and the price is much more realistic. Alas you cant expect the dealer to work for nowt
